Throught the centuries peope have being showed their performing to others. Look at bullfighters,matadors, gladyators…Now ? There is no change. Everyday more than million videos are uploading to internet and most of them has same aim “Show yourself”.
Online Videos Have Many Different Purpose
Tutorial, movie, short movie, commercial, funny moments from life, documentery, news,porn, tv serial…etc. As you can guess rate of funny ones are really high. People who is interested in social media, almost all use online video as a uploader or beholder.
Why Do We Watch?
There are several ways to learn something new. Generally we prefer the easiet one. Because learning also both exciting and tiring activity. Why dont we choose simple way. Let’s look up;
Listening: Since the childhood we have been using this technique. When we were baby, we listened others and learnt and begin to imitate them.
Reading : Remember first days in primery school all of us were using this technique to learn new different information.
Experience : It is the not only most efficient but also ruthless way to learn. You will never forget experiences that you lived.
Watching: We love watching! Footbal matches, theatre, movie , documentery… Why ? Because it is easiest way to learn. Just hold open your eyes and mind and enjoy being receiver.
Which one is more permanent listening ,reading, experience and watching.It is argumentative. But nowadays everbody; young, adult, well educated and aneducated everybody prefer watching. Some of them to save time , some of them can understand only with watching because of illiteracy….I can count more and more reasons.
Why Online?
I want to explain this question as a stutent of advertising.
Think like advertiser: You can not imagine who are watching tv at that time , you can just guess owing surveys and researches. But Online video is different magic. Because audience find you. He or she click your videos and you know how old is he/she and what he/she likes… You dont have to make survey and researches. Features of your target group has already prepared and served for you. Thanks to facebook,myspace,twittre we can see who is interested in what. I think it is very very important fort he future of advertising and journalism. First of all radio will die and tv become less popular and online video age will survive for a long long time.
